Champions for Children believes every child deserves to open a gift during the holidays. Check out how we are doing our part to make sure that happens.
In efforts to help make the holiday season a little brighter, Champions for Children (CfC) open its doors each year to host its annual Holiday Store event that offers assistance to our clients who are in need of a little extra help during this season. The Holidays may be a financially difficult time of year, placing strain on many families within our community. CfC wants to insure that every child will wake up with something they can unwrap and enjoy. CfC’s Holiday Store invites parents and caregivers (currently enrolled in our programs) with the opportunity to “shop” for their children’s holiday gifts. All toys are free-of-charge to our clients.
Every year, our community supporters do their part to make sure Holiday Store is an enjoyable and memorable experience for our clients. But how?
- By signing up to host a toy collection box at their place of business. In order to assist our needy families, we need to have toys available for them to “shop” for. Our community supporters collect toys throughout the month of November and donate these toys at the beginning of December. Interested in signing up to host a box this year? Please visit the Holiday Store 2013 tab to learn more and obtain a sign-up form.
- By signing up to volunteer during our Holiday Store event. We need helping hands to guide our clients around the Holiday Store, as well as work in our Santa’s Workshop wrapping room. This is one of our most popular volunteers opportunities throughout the year because it is such a “feel good” event. Want to get involved and help out this year? Specific details on this year’s volunteer opportunities can be found under our Holiday Store 2013 tab.
