Taking a stand is the first step in overcoming the root causes of abuse and neglect. At Champions for Children, we focus on the entire family; we make sure children are loved and nurtured, by providing parents with the education, support and resources they need to raise well-adjusted, productive future adults. It is a critical undertaking, but it’s an undertaking for which Champions for Children is uniquely qualified – drawing on 30 years of experience. Last year, we provided support and education to nearly 40,000 people in Tampa Bay.

We envision a world where children are no longer abused and strong families are central to the success of the entire community. Our history has shown that this is an attainable goal. We’re seeing our mission fulfilled each and every day – working with real families and real children. We know it’s possible!

Champions for Children, Inc. (CFC), formerly known as the Child Abuse Council, was established in 1977 and it is guided by a voluntary board with diverse professional and cultural backgrounds. Over the years, thousands of families throughout Hillsborough County have received the help they needed through our education, prevention and treatment programs. The CFC is accredited through the Council on Accreditation.
